The Great Mughals: Art, Architecture and Opulence, v&a museum london
This major exhibition celebrates the extraordinary creative output and internationalist culture of the Golden Age of the Mughal Court (about 1560 – 1660) during the reigns of its most famous emperors: Akbar, Jahangir and Shah Jahan.
We worked closely with the curators and 3D designers to design bespoke lighting solutions to suit each object in this stunning collection and ensure each is shown in its best light. For the overall lighting we created distinct atmospheres for each emperor’s section, namely Akbar, Jehangir and Shah Jahan. We used light to create a sensory architecture by reflecting shapes of the Mughal architecture and motifs from tile patterns with light.
